My story began in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn, New York. I attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where I majored in design and minored in creative writing.

I’m a visual artist, photographer, painter, illustrator, interior design enthusiast, film prop maker, crafter, bibliophile, writer, music lover, and avid thrifter. I’m currently writing my third novel, so I suppose you could say I wear many hats, and I have always been someone who prefers the road less traveled.

Styling has always been one of my greatest passions, whether through fashion, interiors, props, or visual storytelling. I tend to keep plenty of fabric on hand, and while I may only be mediocre on a sewing machine, give me fabric, pins, sturdy needles, thread, and a body form, and I can whip up a prop gown or a set of curtains in no time.

From a young age, I was taught to sew by my grandmother, and I was deeply influenced by the Roaring Twenties, the Gilded Age, theater, the goth scene, and 1980s pop culture. I’ve always loved combining styles, mixing eras, and bringing quirky, obscure ideas to life. I was definitely born eclectic. I never followed one particular genre, and to this day, I refuse to succumb to the mundane.

Attending the High School of Art and Design was something I really hoped for, but my parents were not on board with my decision. Luckily, my public high school offered fashion design as an elective, which gave me an early creative outlet. My high school art teacher often referred to me “too avant-garde,” as if that were a bad thing.

After graduation, I was set to attend Parsons/The New School to study fashion design, with plans to focus on Broadway. But creative minds often change direction. I ultimately followed my childhood dream and attended the School of Visual Arts, where I continued building the artistic foundation that still shapes everything I create today.
